Anxiousness O Procrastination

New Journal

Hello

I am in my last year of high school this year. I hope to get an ENTER above 85 (You will understand that if you come from Victoria, Australia) to get into creative writing and philosophy at University of Melbourne. I cleaned up my gallery a bit and will probably get rid of more stuff soon such as bad visual work as well as bad written work. I wrote a villanelle (my first) today entitled 'The Low Tar' and I hope some people see it. If I feel confident enough I might put some of my literature essays on my deviant art (after refining and editing of course) because I feel that essays are equally close to my heart as writing anything else.

I said; "kiss me, you're beautiful; these are truly the last days."

You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream or a fever.

hi. great work and sosurprised that its all coming from a 16 year old. im an out and out painter really so cant really comment on your photography other than i think that looks pretty dam awesome too. But i would definately like to see loads more painting from you, you have obvious talent, thats beyond doubt and only being 16 just seems amazing to me....id be surprised if one day you dont manage to hold down exhibitions on a regular basis. anyway... well done, oh and both of your paintings have been added to my favourites.

Thanks a bunch domlancaster, I haven't had real experience in painting and only started the other week hoping to continue. well i have done small stuff at school as practise in art but thats all really. I hope to practise more and gain better skill, experiment and such. I've looked at your pieces and now I feel even more privilidged by your comments as your skill exceeds mine. I'm going to add Fruit Salad Skies to my favourites for sure.

thanx for the fav. and mostly thanx for the compliments on a) my artwork and b) my talents.

Im surprised to hear that you've only recently started painting. and glad to hear that you're planning to continue with it. Afterall, if you're already producing pieces like that, then i cant wait to see future pieces.

I probably dont need to tell you this but don't forget that art really does have no limits....experimaentation is great. Use anything to paint with, pallet knives etc but also whacky stuff.....sticks, erasers, anything and everything. and the same goes for surfaces to paint on....im planning to do a bit of slight experimentation myself...haven't done any since school days and miss it so im planning to do a piece of abstract on sandpaper if i can find a sheet big enough. anyway thanx, and i'll keep an eye out for your future pieces.
